What is Blackout Flex?

Who is Fragile?
Fragile is Blackout Computers' partner that manages the Flex subscription end-to-end — billing, support, returns, and data wiping. Blackout Computers makes the gaming PCs, Fragile handles the rest.
What's included with Blackout Flex?
Your subscription includes a Like-New or New gaming PC, the ability to swap/refresh/cancel anytime, full repair and replacement coverage, dedicated support via phone/text/email, and a 2-year refresh. Peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitor) are not included.
How much does Blackout Flex cost?
Monthly payment varies by tier. Like-New PCs are included at the base price. Optional fees include: New PC fee (if you want a brand-new unit instead of like-new) and Swap fee (if you change tiers or refresh outside the 2-year window).
What's the difference between a like-new and new PC?
Like-New PCs are certified refurbished and meet minimum specs for their tier. New PCs are brand-new builds with the exact listed parts. Both are rigorously tested and fully covered.
How do Blackout Flex PC refreshes work?
Included 2-Year Refresh: Active subscribers can get the latest PC in their tier at or before the two-year mark at no extra cost through routine maintenance. Anytime Refresh: Get the latest PC in your tier anytime for a swap fee, plus an additional fee if you choose a brand-new PC.
Can I cancel anytime? How do returns work?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Return your PC using the included prepaid shipping label. Note: if you cancel before your first renewal, a free month promo may be voided.
Can I change my Blackout Flex PC tier?
Yes — contact Fragile support to initiate a tier change. A Swap Fee applies, plus a New PC Fee if you choose a brand-new unit.
What if my Blackout Flex PC has issues?
Every Flex PC is guaranteed to perform as expected. If something goes wrong, Fragile support will troubleshoot, repair, or replace your PC at no extra cost.
When does my subscription start, and when will I be charged?
Your first payment is processed when you're approved. Your billing cycle officially starts when your PC is delivered.
Will applying for Blackout Flex impact my credit?
No — there is no hard credit check. Only a soft check is performed, which does not affect your credit score.
How do I qualify for Blackout Flex? Is approval guaranteed?
You must be 18+, have a valid U.S. ID, reside in the contiguous U.S., and have a credit or debit card. Flex is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories. Approval is not guaranteed.
What happens if a Blackout Flex PC gets lost or stolen? Or if an account is past due?
Fragile may use IP verification to locate the device. Device access may be restricted if the PC is not returned after cancellation.
Is my data safe? What happens when I return the PC?
Your data is never kept, shared, or sold. Fragile wipes the device upon return.
What if my Blackout Flex PC doesn't meet performance expectations?
Every PC is guaranteed to perform within 10% of listed FPS. Like-New PCs are based on minimum specs; New PCs are based on exact specs. If performance falls short, Fragile will fix or replace your PC for free.
Can I modify the hardware in my Blackout Flex PC?
No — hardware modifications are not allowed. Flex PCs are managed by Blackout Computers and Fragile.
Are games included with Blackout Flex?
No, but you can install your own games and game launchers. Game service add-ons are being explored for the future.
What happens if I can't pay my monthly subscription?
Contact Fragile support as soon as possible. There is a 60–180 day window before an access suppression process begins.
Is Blackout Flex rent-to-own or a financing plan?
No — Blackout Flex is a subscription service. You do not own the PC. If you want to own a gaming PC, check out Blackout Player PCs.
